Ben Felton

Executive Planning Director, MRM Meteorite

Ben is a digital native whose earliest memories include unscrewing the back of his Tomy Speak and Spell to see the inner workings and creating a graphic that would move around the screen on his Commodore 64.

This passion stayed with him when he started his first job with a small financial publisher that became the first financial comparison site online, and was one of the successes of the .com boom.

From here, Ben entered the agency world in the role of planner at Wunderman Interactive, where he moved quickly up the ranks, taking the European planning director role a few years later. Big achievements in this role were the creation of a new online strategy for Ford, which was applied in over 20 European countries, and being part of the team that conceived the original “Hello Moto” work from Motorola.

After leaving Wunderman, Ben took the global planning director role at Global Beach, adding more automotive brands to his portfolio but also a variety of other sectors, including finance, travel, and publishing.

He then had a slight change in career path, moving to Agency.com and assuming the managing partner role in the London office. This was the year that Agency.com achieved agency of the year. Producing ongoing award-winning work, the agency first broke out of its digital-only remit to produce ATL and retail work for IKEA – a first in the industry!

After a couple of years in this role, Ben moved to Rapier, where he also added direct activity to his portfolio, giving him experience through the line.

Today, Ben is MRM’s executive planning director in London, where he and his team are responsible for advising brands on the most effective ways they can connect with consumers to achieve the results they wish to achieve. His clients at MRM include Intel, Vauxhall, Kraft, MasterCard and Johnson & Johnson Vision Care.
